Satvwa

Political & policy communications · Guwahati · pan-India

We read the ground before we write a line.

Satvwa is a political and policy communications firm. Research, narrative and campaign execution for people who answer to an electorate — and for institutions that have to explain themselves in public.

Drag the terrain — every column is a booth

What we do

Three things, in this order.

Strategy that isn't tested against the ground is opinion. Content that isn't distributed is a document. We do all three, or we don't take the account.

01

Strategise

Constituency and issue research before message. Who is moving, why, and what would move them back — then a message architecture the candidate can say out loud.

  • Constituency research
  • Opinion tracking
  • Quantitative
  • Qualitative fieldwork
  • Counter-narrative

02

Curate

A working desk that produces the words and the pictures — daily issue tracking, speeches, op-eds, campaign creative, video. Written by people who read the brief that morning.

  • Speeches
  • Op-eds
  • Issue trackers
  • Campaign creative
  • Video and motion

03

Execute

Distribution down to the district. Digital and field run off one calendar, so what the candidate says on a stage is what the page posts that evening.

  • Social and WhatsApp
  • Outdoor
  • IVRS and SMS
  • Field coordination
  • Rapid response

The desk

A working desk, not a monthly retainer.

Most of what a campaign needs is not a campaign — it is someone reading everything, every day, and telling you what changed. Our desk runs whether or not there is an election on.

Daily brief · standing formatIssued 07:30 IST
National

What moved overnight, and who it helps

Policy announcements, parliamentary business and the national frame that local coverage will borrow by evening.

State

Scheme delivery, and where it is visibly failing

Ground-level movement on entitlements and schemes — what most constituency questions are actually about.

Sector

Defence, foreign policy, environment

Tracked continuously, so a client is never briefed on a subject the day they are asked about it on camera.

Watch

What we expect to be an issue in seventy-two hours

The half of the brief that earns its keep — early warning, with a recommended position and a draft line.

Issue salience · rolling 14 days

DAY 1 DAY 14 RISING

Illustrative. The real chart is built per seat, from our own tracking, and it is the first thing a client sees each morning.

Format shown is the standing structure of our daily brief. Client work and campaign material are shared under NDA, on request.

How we work

Research, implement, evaluate, communicate.

The same four steps on every account, whatever the size of it.

  1. Step one

    Research

We go to enormous lengths to understand the brand and the issue it faces before proposing anything. The strategy is built on that, or it is guesswork.

  2. Step two

    Implement

We present only strategies that can be implemented. A good idea is a good idea if we can implement that good idea.

  3. Step three

    Evaluate

Every campaign is measured while it runs, and the plan is changed on what the numbers say — not at the end, when it is a report instead of a decision.

  4. Step four

    Communicate

One channel between our desk and the client, in real time. On a campaign, the cost of a slow answer is the campaign.

Capability

What sits on the bench.

Built as one team, so a campaign does not have to brief four vendors and hope they agree.
